Espectacular alfombra persa Bakthiari, que recibe su nombre de las tribus nómadas Bakhtiari de la cordillera de los Zagros, en el suroeste de Irán. Esta alfombra está hecha de lana virgen tejida y teñida a mano por las tribus, dándole su carácter de fina artesanía y su resistencia al tiempo. Las alfombras Bakhtiari se caracterizan por una paleta de colores típicamente rica y terrosa, con rojos intensos, azules índigo, verdes bosque, amarillos dorados y marfil. Los tonos oscuros, a menudo marrón oscuro o casi negro, delinean los motivos y crean un efecto similar al de una vidriera.
