A beautiful Asian painting, hand-embroidered on silk, depicting a deity on a frog, possibly a nature spirit, surrounded by vegetation and other decorations in shades of gold, blue, white, and green. The handkerchief has beautiful decoration on its edges, in the form of patterns, also embroidered, in green, blue, and yellow. The piece is framed in elegant gold-painted wood and finished with molded reliefs. On the back, the work bears a label from "The Boydell Galleries," making it clear that this work was once part of that antique house in Liverpool, England.
