Oil on cardboard by the Chilean artist Ladislao Cheney, painted in 1949, depicting a coastal landscape, in which three fishing boats arrive at the coast and their crew members touch land, presumably to unload the day's catch.
The work is framed in wood carved in reliefs and painted with elegant gold.
Dimensions: Frame 77 x 8 x 67 cm height and Artwork 57 x 49 cm.

Ladislao Cheney
Ladislao Vuchetich De Cheney Pusztay, pintor conocido en Chile con el nombre artístico de Ladislao Cheney ó Cseney. Nació en Salgotarjan, Hungría el 27 de enero de 1905. Falleció en Santiago, Chile, el 7 de noviembre de 1983.
Comenzó sus estudios de arte en 1921 en la Escuela Libre de Nagy Banya en Transilvania, Hungría, continuó en la Real Academia de Budapest; Hungría. En 1927 obtuvo la beca Elizabeth Korb de la Real Academia de Viena, Austria, que le permitió cursar estudios de arte en Roma, Italia, radicándose en Chile en 1930, obteniendo la nacionalidad Chilena en el año 1952.
