A beautiful Viennese porcelain urn vase, made in France, glazed in an elegant purple with hand-painted gold details, featuring garlands and non-classical scenes depicting Bacchus, the Roman god of revelry and celebration, with a nymph. The base of the piece bears two inscriptions: “Bachus hei der Nymphe,” indicating the subject of the scenes, and “Das Urtheil des Paris,” indicating its French origin.
Dimensions: 13 x 13 x 36 cm high.
