La porcelana: un material con historia

La porcelana es un material cerámico conocido por ser blanco, translúcido, duro, frágil e impermeable. Tradicionalmente, se ha utilizado para fabricar vajillas, jarrones, lámparas, esculturas y elementos ornamentales.

Su origen se atribuye a China, donde se desarrolló probablemente en el siglo VII u VIII bajo el nombre de "tzu." Aunque las primeras referencias escritas datan de la dinastía Tang (618 d.C. a 907 d.C.), la porcelana se consolidó y ganó renombre en la dinastía Han (206 a.C. a 220 d.C.).
