DESCRIPCIÓN
Engraving by the Chilean painter and engraver Luis Zapata, originally from Concepción. The work, titled Giant Snail, is a somewhat abstract composition, combining elements not immediately recognizable. The artist uses colors present in some of his other works, such as purple and yellow, creating a striking contrast between form and background. Upon closer inspection, the pointillist texture of the engraving reveals the artist's metal engraving technique. The work is framed in a simple wooden frame with a gilded finish.
