Beautiful hand-painted Japanese porcelain plate in the Imari style from the late 19th century. The plate features a cobalt blue base with iron red and gold accents. The design includes six pairs of interspersed panels: three circular and three fan-shaped. One pair depicts a wall of water in shades of blue with vegetation, another pair also features a wall of vegetation but with water in light blue tones, and the third pair shows a group of men gathered around a larger, more robust figure.
