A beautiful oil painting by the renowned Chilean painter Joaquín Fabres (1864-1914). The work depicts the luminous entrance to what appears to be a typical tenement building from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The earthy tones of the walls and the nostalgic cobblestone floor are striking. On one side, we see the silhouette of a woman entering or leaving the building. It is a common scene for the period.
