DESCRIPCIÓN
This oil painting by the English painter, draftsman, and illustrator George Percy (1857-1929) depicts the beautiful landscape of a dirt path leading towards a snow-capped mountain, flanked by lush wild vegetation. The original stretcher frame, its wood, the quality of the canvas, and even the nails used to secure it are clearly visible on the back of the painting, all despite its age.
George Percy was a prominent English artist, a founding member of the New English Art Club and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. He worked at The Graphic, where he was commissioned to accompany the Prince and Princess of Wales on a tour of India in 1905.
