DESCRIPCIÓN
Hardy Wistuba Stange, painter. He was born in Puerto Montt, Chile on June 1, 1925 and died in Santiago on June 22, 2010.
His artistic training began at the German School of Puerto Montt during his primary education and later at the Secondary Institute of the University of Chile in Santiago. In 1940, he became familiar with watercolor painting after meeting the Catalan painter Ignacio Baixas, who spent some time painting the landscapes of southern Chile. In 1942, he entered the School of Fine Arts at the University of Chile, where he excelled in painting courses and won consecutive prizes in student exhibitions. He was a student of Jorge Caballero, Laureano Guevara, and Gustavo Carrasco.
