Benito Rebolledo - Oil on canvas 'Goats'

Oil on canvas by Chilean painter Benito Rebolledo, winner of the 1959 National Arts Prize, depicting a rural landscape with goats of varying colors on a hill, with a valley and the Andes Mountains in the background. Originally from Curicó, the city where he lived until his adolescence, Rebolledo portrayed rural life, its landscapes, and its animals. In fact, goats are a recurring theme in several of his works, demonstrating a particular affinity for this animal. The painting is framed in carved wood with relief decorations and finished with elegant gold paint.
