Pascual Gambino: flores para colorear
Pascual Gambino Tuccillo, pintor. Nació el 19 de abril de 1891 en Montevideo, Uruguay. Falleció en Santiago de Chile el 16 de abril de 1994.
Llegó a Chile junto a su familia en 1892. Se inició en el arte a los 16 años haciendo retratos a lápiz y copiando fotos. En 1907 ingresó a la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Santiago donde tomó clases de dibujo, composición y colorido claroscuro. Fue alumno de Pablo Burchard, José Caracci, Pedro Reszka, Pedro Lira, Virginio Arias, Juan Francisco González, Alberto Valenzuela Llanos, Nicanor González Méndez y Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor.
Fue reconocido como artista chileno por acuerdo del Directorio de la Sociedad Nacional de Bellas Artes en 1936. Se le otorgó la ciudadanía chilena por gracia en 1985.
Llegó a ser Director y Vicepresidente de la Sociedad Nacional de Bellas Artes de Santiago de Chile y Delegado de la Sociedad de Bellas Artes de Madrid en España.
