A spectacular French D'Aubbuson Verdure tapestry from the late 18th century, handwoven in wool on cotton. The piece features a beautiful design depicting a natural landscape filled with lush vegetation, giving it the characteristic Verdure style. The composition places us within the verdant foliage, with a château visible on the horizon. The type of flora suggests that the landscape is not in France, but rather in one of its colonies, possibly the Caribbean, reflecting this period of great French expansion. Its border is decorated with a floral pattern.

He Aubusson tapestry is a world-renowned textile craft originating from the town of Aubusson in central France, with a history dating back to the 15th century. This tradition was inscribed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2009.
