In addition to his signature, the bust bears the name 'J. Cabezas G.', suggesting it likely belongs to... Joaquín Cabezas Garcia. Founder in 1906 of the Institute of Physical Education and Manual Arts, of the now defunct Pedagogical Institute of the University of Chile.
Creator of national monuments such as the one of Manuel Rodríguez located in Plaza Baquedano.
