The Vehrahine Persian rug is made of handwoven wool and dyed with natural, plant-based dyes. These rugs are handwoven by shepherds in the rural areas of Hamadan, in northwestern Iran. They are characterized by their repeating pattern known as mina khani . This design consists of rows of flowers connected by lines in shades of blue, red, and cream, with indigo accents. The borders are predominantly red, featuring floral and geometric patterns.
